PRESIDENT

My name is Selene mom to Max 1 year old in the butterfly class :). This is our first year at TMS and we are super excited to join the community! I am a district behavior specialist for CUSD and love working with students and teachers. On our free time as a family, we love spending time with our two dogs and exploring the outdoors. We also always look forward to visiting family back home in California.

VICE PRESIDENT

My name is Kenna, mom to Isla (4), and I am so thrilled to be participating in TEMPO this year as the Vice President! I am a relief printmaker (think: intricately carved stamps out of wood) and an illustrator- I love creating, and teaching others about the process. Our family of three loves to spend time outside in the garden with our chickens, and creating things together- from knitting to clay, to cooking, we love spending time together making things with our hands. We have had the pleasure of being a part of the TMS community for a year, and are so looking forward to the year ahead!

SECRETARY

My name is Kara, mom to Elliot (3). We've been a TMS family for three years and started when Elliot was in the NIDO class. I work in research administration at TGen, a genetics research institute in downtown Phoenix. I love baking, spending time with family, and playing with our two dogs.

TREASURER

Kieren McCord is thrilled to continue on the TEMPO board for her second year as treasurer. Kieren loves cooking, baking, and getting outside to hike or paddleboard with her husband, Taylor. She loves hanging out with her daughter, Ruthie (Ms. Natti’s class) and her new baby Lincoln (Ms. Shanti’s class). She works as a research scientist at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, researching acoustics, indoor environmental quality, and sustainable building design. She looks forward to getting to know more people in the TMS community, so please feel free to come introduce yourself!
